EOG College Football Sports Betting Preview: Utah Utes vs TCU Horned Frogs
The TCU Horned Frogs (9-0 SU, 6-2 ATS) will look to keep their hopes for an undefeated season and a BCS bowl bid alive on Saturday night when they host the Utah Utes (8-1 SU, 3-6 ATS) in a pivotal WAC betting match-up. Last week, TCU had their best offensive performance against an FBS opponent this season, with a 55-12 college football wagering blowout of San Diego State. Utah dominated their opponent as well, scoring a 45-14 NCAA football betting victory over New Mexico on Saturday afternoon.
Coming into this college football gambling season it was expected that the TCU defense would be one of the best in the nation, but the offense has surprisingly been effective as well. Dalton was buoyed by RBs Matthew Tucker, Ed Wesley, and Joseph Turner on the night. The trio combined to carry the ball 34 times for 217 yards and three touchdowns for the Horned Frogs in the college football betting win. As for DE Jerry Hughes and that defense, they are #1 in the country in total defense coming into this game.
Freshman QB Jordan Wynn will be making just the second start of his career this week against TCU after taking over for Terrance Cain against Wyoming two weeks ago. Last week was Wynn's first career start, and the true freshman did little to disappoint in the Utes' 45-14 sports gambling victory over the Lobos. Wynn completed 18 of 28 passes for 297 yards and threw two touchdown passes against one interception. Wynn was helped out though by the solid running of RB Sausan Shakerin and RB Eddie Wide, as Shakerin and Wide teamed up to rush for 245 yards and three touchdowns for Utah betting fans. This week though Wynn faces a significant upgrade in quality from a porous winless New Mexico team.
College football gambling odds have the Horned Frogs as a lofty 20 point favorite in this game with a total of 47 points.
