Leroys Money Talks: Fezzik To Meet The Shrink in Semi Finals
written November 20, 2009
Fezzik is the quintessential Las Vegas sports player and is entered in every major handicapping contest. He is a two-time Stardust Invitational finalist. A graduate of Northwestern University, he left his job as a vice president and actuary for a major insurance company in 2001 to be a full-time sports bettor. His 4-3 card out-pointed Tim Trushel, founder and lead handicapper for www.sportsmemo.com, who posted a 3-3-1 mark with a Lions (+17) push keeping him out of the winner's circle.
Meyer has touted himself as the favorite in this season's Money Talks tournament. Meyer, one of the genre's top self-promoters ( www.adamwins.com), sports a 70 percent win for KNBR Radio in San Francisco over the past three years and is regular handicapper for EPSN2 and the Fox Sports networks. He won his opening match 4-3 over Sal Selvaggio of Maddux Sports (2-5). Hochman, who makes a living as a youth sports official, tied Wayne Peters (3-5) in his opener, and then posted the tourney's only perfect card to move to the second round.
So far this Money Talks season, the contestants have posted a solid 84-64-3 record with 10 out of 22 Best Bets cashing in.
